Composer and vocalist Peter Arriola (b. 1999) is a very enthusiastic and hard-working musician, devoting lots of time to his school choirs, community choirs, and his composing. He is an accomplished musician, having performed for crowds of over a thousand and at a variety of amazing venues, including St Augustine Cathedral and Centennial Hall in Tucson, Arizona, and most prestigiously at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Peter has also performed the world premieres of three choral works - Beneath the Pines by Andrew Hirst, Chanukah Cantata by Robert Lopez-Hanshaw and Ride On, King Jesus by Donte A. Ford. In the field of composition, he has written for the film The Sin of Omission (directed by Alexander Cardenas), Habitats (created by Peter Arriola and Ellie Friedman), What’s the Point? (created by Peter Arriola), Sweet Tooth (directed by Marin Stewart), A Midnight Snack (directed by Marin Stewart), Ghosts(?) (directed by Antonia Maher), Say Goodnight, Lily (directed by Nika Bogorad) and has composed and arranged many pieces for a variety of genres and ensembles, including solo, choral, chamber and orchestral works.

As a young boy, Peter’s appreciation for music began when attending symphony concerts with his family in his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. By six years of age, and still fascinated by orchestra as an ensemble, he was determined to take lessons and learn the violin. His determination paid off and, in 2010, he became a member of the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, playing first and second violin. Broadening his horizons, he began to explore the voice as an instrument. He has sung in nine different choirs since and currently sings with the Phoenix Symphony Chorus and his local church choir. He also plays multiple other instruments, including piano, guitar, ukulele, and bass guitar.

Peter has received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Musicology, Ethnomusicology, and Theory at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music, and has studied composition with Dr. Yuanyuan "Kay" He and voice with Dr. Andrew Stuckey.
